Babacar is a high energy defender, rebounder & can score from both the perimeter & inside the paint!  He is athletic enough to defend players on the perimeter, as well as in the paint changing & blocking shots.  A very high energy rebounder & player.

 

After leading Fairfax HS to a Championship, he attended NCAA D1 Army (Westpoint), where despite limited freshman minutes, was one of the leaders in Blocks in the Patriot League. While at East LA College, he led the Huskies to an overall record of 24-5 including a Conf. Championship & a trip to the SoCal playoffs; he shot 56% FG & 38% 3FG from beyond the arc. He then went on to play at the Univ of Idaho & Holy names, where he was continuously a leader in Blocked Shots & FG%.

 

Babacar completed his Master’s Degree in 2022.  During the offseason, he has taken on some acting roles, including a role in episodes of HBO’s “Winning Time”, the story of the Los Angeles Lakers.
